  • Objective The division aims to provide an accurate and reliable statistical database that reflects the university's actual status, supporting planning and decision-making processes through the scientific analysis of quantitative indicators.
  • Tasks of the Statistics Division
  1. Developing and updating a comprehensive database that includes student, faculty, and staff counts, alongside inventorying university buildings and all affiliated facilities and installations, ensuring data accuracy and its adoption as an official source.
  2. Collecting, verifying, and analyzing statistical data from relevant divisions based on approved scientific methodologies to achieve integration among administrative units and enhance the reliability of statistical indicators.
  3. Analyzing data and statistical indicators to extract outcomes that support planning and decision-making processes, while providing the necessary scientific interpretations for statistical variables.
  4. Preparing periodic and analytical statistical reports that reflect the university's institutional performance status, in alignment with the requirements of higher and regulatory authorities.
  5. Providing statistical advisory support to academic and administrative units, and participating in designing studies and questionnaires and analyzing their results to serve institutional goals.
  6. Adhering to approved statistical standards and updating statistical workflow mechanisms to keep pace with scientific and technical developments, while enhancing the rational use of data in planning and evaluation.

Planning Division

Objective

The Division aims to formulate strategic and operational plans and evaluate proposals for the establishment of new entities and expansion. This work aligns with approved educational policies, supports institutional development, and ensures the optimal use of resources.

 

Planning Division Tasks

1.   Reviewing requests to establish new entities (colleges, academic departments, administrative departments, divisions, and units), verifying their compliance with established criteria and requirements, and submitting them to the relevant authorities to obtain official approvals.

 

2.   Preparing studies and plans for the establishment of new entities (colleges, academic departments and branches, and university centers) in alignment with development requirements and labor market needs.

3.   Preparing and updating short-, medium-, and long-term strategic and operational plans to implement the University’s objectives while optimizing resource utilization.

 

4.   Updating the University’s administrative organizational structure and its constituent units to ensure alignment between tasks and job titles.

 

5.   Following up on the implementation of University Council resolutions relevant to the Division’s work, in coordination with the concerned entities.

 

6.   Participating in committees responsible for preparing and updating the University’s strategic plan.

 

7.   Implementing ministerial directives and issuing university orders regarding the establishment, abolition, renaming, or restructuring of reporting lines for academic departments and administrative divisions across all University units.

Objective

The Division aims to collect, verify, organize, and maintain data regarding all university affiliates (academic staff, administrative staff, and students). This ensures the availability of accurate and reliable databases that facilitate the preparation of university reports and statistics and support decision-making processes.

 

Data and Informatics Division Tasks

1.   Periodically verify, monitor, and update databases covering academic staff, administrative staff, students, facilities, libraries, laboratories, seminars, and conferences to ensure they reflect actual changes.

 

2.   Provide the necessary data and information to the Statistics Division within the Department of Studies and Planning for the preparation of annual statistics and periodic reports.

3.   Provide the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and relevant university entities with required statistical data and information as needed, in accordance with approved official procedures.

4.   Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and maintain its confidentiality, in accordance with applicable regulations and instructions.
